The village of Dalyan

Dalyan is on the south coast of Turkey, and a 30 minute drive from Dalaman airport. Click here to see a map of Turkey and where exactly the town is. 

The town is near a river which leads to the famous Turtle Beach. It is surrounded by lovely countryside and the beautiful mountains. A short boat trip away, on the opposite side of the river, is the ancient city of Caunos, which is of great archaeological interest. The area around Dalyan has a wide range of wildlife, including some species of birds not found elsewhere in the world. The weather in Dalyan is dry and warm all summer, yet it has many large rivers which are fantastic to take short or long boat trips on. With the views, history, culture, wildlife, water and sea topped off by the warm local hospitality, Dalyan is a wonderful place for a group of friends or the family to spend their holiday.
